When I saw the new
MB 710 Irons, I actually got that look on my face like when I was 14 years old and I discovered that there was more to girls than I had originally known. The same thought ran through my mind. I'm going to have to try that once.
I tried the club a week ago and they workd very well for me with more ball speed and less spin. MB710 Looks sweet! It has a Classic and clean looks. Therefore, you can’t wait and put it in your bag as soon as quickly.
It's not often moment of inertia properties are mentioned in golf balls, but according to Ishii, six points in golf ball moment of inertia equates to one yard of carry into the wind. The resin core material also is designed to promote a faster initial velocity. Ishii says the design produces a "steeper spin slope," meaning more short-iron spin with less driver spin. The ball also has the benefit of being green-friendly through use of some renewable raw materials.
In addition, the
Titleist MB 710 is a their new muscle back blade design that appears to have mass reduced below the top line and repositioned closer to the sole. It's till a classic blade design very clean and simple so expect most of Titleist's PGA players to be sporting this model on the big Tour.
It's tough to see in this image (below), but the shape of the short irons - traditionally the 8I, 9I, and PW - has been improved. The notching remains fairly consistent throughout the set, but you'll notice the difference between the top two irons with their curvier toplines and the remaining four. This appears to be an attempt to make it a more user friendly design with a more forgiveness in the hitting zone and perhaps even a slightly higher ball flight.
When you hit them well, they go. It is just not a club. I believe it is good for me on a day to day basis, but they are sharp looking and good performing clubs.
